IT'S A GIRL!! (I know, just act suprised)
Her name is Susan Ann (Last name omitted because I don't trust any of you louts). Susan, for Sean's mother, and Ann, our Mom's middle name. So apprently Krista's being upset about Mom calling the Unnamed Baby "Susie" had less to do with Krsita being upset at the teasting then Krista being upset that no one was gunna be suprised. ::snort:: Not that it's really that suprising, both Sean and his sister are addopted, neither have any info what so ever on their birth families, and Sean was very, very close to his mom who died of Cancer a few years back (as has his dad now), so it was pretty predictable that he'd go with a family name.

You know, considering we get our precog-nature for Mom, that one really wasn't suprising at all. I just got confused as to where she got "Susie" seemingly out of thin air becasue I'd forgotten it was Sean's mom's name, I hadn't seen her since I was like twelve or something.

Mom apprently desided not to call when it happend, but tired to send out Text Messages. I got woken up about two hours later when Danika called and when she hung up I saw three new texts. Took her three tries to say "Meet your niece, Susan" and send a pic. ::snickers:: She's tired.

I just keep looking at the pic and thinking, "My god, she's so big!" She's about twice the size of either Clay or Brain were at two weeks! And that really isn't a sign of how big she is, but how small they were (fucking meth head mother). So that's my mental image of a baby size now, tiney, so all babies look like freek'n gients to me.

Krista has changed her mind again about wanting company, so we're not alowed to go up 'til Tomorrow when she's home. Except Danika who went over anyhow. ::growls:: Dad's not going because he's got a bad cold and is exceedingly paranoid about passing it on. So tomrrow afternoon I'll drive up to Seattle by myself and not sure if I'll stay the night or what, but at least go up for a few hours and lots and lots of pics. Let the other three get some sleep.

I am so tired right now, I can not stop yawning, but of course now I'm awake so falling back to sleep again is right out. I guess I'll make more booties.

I'm an Aunt!

\o/ YAY!
My daughter seemed so freaking skinny compared to my son (exact same length, two pounds difference, but she was month preemie too). Babies are weird!
But congrats to your sister and you are an aunt now! YAY for you and your new ability to Spoil the Kid!

I don't have any stats on her size or weight or exact time of birth yet. I'll update or re-post when I do. And yay! Yer the first non-family member to say congrats. {{happy, giddy, waaaaay too tired hug}}

Welcome to the world of the cool/bad influence of Auntiehood. Babysitting provides opportunities to buy the kid's affections with sugar and "against mommy's rules" activities.

Rejoice in the knowledge that you can become the "favorite" over mommy 'cause you let the kid do/get away with all the cool shit.

Remember to teach her the finer points in life...like putting saran wrap over the toilet bowl, teaching her how to swear in different languages (extra points if she can do it at school and not get in trouble), and of course, the more delicate and subtle art of making rude faces and gestures at mommy behind her back.

Welcome to Auntiehood.

May you be a wise and corrupting influence in the coming critical years. *pats back sagely*

And welcome to the fold
I know I've already said it, but again, CONGRATULATIONS!. ::HUGS:: Wait till you get to see her in person, the first time is always such a trip. :)

So our nieces were born one day apart (never mind the eight-year age gap). Clearly - as always - It Was Meant To Be!
